Hello, thank you.

I am Matthew Bates. Somewhere along the way, many years ago, my nom de guerre became Mat Diablo. Silly, I know. I am professionally interested in the creation, discovery and consumption of music and radio content. I am personally interested in classic motorcycles, anything snow-related, family, and churros.

Party like it's 2009.

First and foremost- thank you, thank you, THANK YOU.

We are still catching up on returning emails and phone calls, and it's been a week. We are responding personally to each and every person that has reached out, so thank you for your patience.

With that said, we would like to thank you for all that you've done for us IN PERSON.

So we are having one last FRIDAY NIGHT PINTS- the "goodbye" edition!

Friday Night Pints was our series of SD-focused craft beer nights, and if you never came, now is the time!

It's happening at the High Dive (where else) next Friday, May 21st. Party starts at 7p, and it's free. No cover, no shenanigans, no agenda other than to hang with you, say thanks, and drink some great San Diego craft beer. Also maybe some picklebacks.

Lets celebrate this thing that was called The 91X Morning Show with some cold beer and good friends, shall we?

One other note:

If you ride a motorcycle and feel like going on a fun ride for a good cause tomorrow, check this out:

The Jules Journey

It's a great cause, and some really great human beings are involved.

I'm pretty bummed, as we had planned to promote this ride on the air this week..but that obviously was not to be. I will be out on this ride, at the Riviera at 11a, and up in Julian all day, so please come say hello if you're so inclined.

To new beginnings and old friends-
